Saks Direct seeks Assistant Buyer for Women's Designer collections in San Francisco to support luxury brand buying and merchandising operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating emerging and established designer brands for women's fashion collections
- Support vendor negotiations and maintain relationships with designer representatives and wholesale partners
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform buying strategies
- Monitor sales trends, inventory levels, and product performance across categories
- Collaborate with merchandising, visual merchandising, and store operations teams to optimize product placement and promotion
- Prepare buying reports, forecasts, and trend analysis for senior buying management
- Participate in market weeks, trade shows, and designer showroom visits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or related field
