Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee overall inventory shortage performance and execute asset protection strategy for assigned store location
- Lead and directly supervise asset protection investigators, providing daily guidance, training, and professional development
- Identify internal and external theft exposures and implement proactive strategies to reduce loss and shortage
- Plan, execute, and oversee annual physical inventory and reconciliation processes
- Facilitate store-wide communication, training, safety sessions, and shortage awareness initiatives
- Oversee audit planning, execution, and documentation to ensure internal audit readiness
- Review audit findings, summarize results, and drive corrective actions with store leadership
- Ensure all physical security standards are maintained, including camera system functionality and enhancements
- Ensure compliance with apprehension guidelines and all applicable laws during investigations
- Partner with investigators to prepare cases for interviews and resolution
- Deliver performance feedback and support mid-year and annual review processes for direct reports
Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- 5+ years of retail asset protection experience, preferably in high-volume or complex environments
- Proven leadership with strong relationship-building, coaching, and influencing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to large groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience leading diverse teams to achieve operational, statistical, and developmental goals
