Saks Global seeks an Asset Protection Manager in Houston, TX to lead inventory shortage control, investigations and store security.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own inventory shortage performance and execute the Asset Protection strategy for the assigned store.
  • Lead and manage investigations into internal and external theft, ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Develop and implement shortage mitigation strategies based on exposure analysis.
  • Plan, execute and document internal audits and physical inventory cycles; drive corrective action and audit readiness.
  • Oversee functionality and enhancements of camera and physical security systems.
  • Partner closely with Store Leadership, Investigators and cross-functional teams to drive accountability and results.
  • Design and deliver training, safety sessions and shortage-awareness initiatives for store personnel.
  • Prepare cases in coordination with Investigators and support interview and resolution processes.
  • Maintain apprehension guidelines and ensure lawful, compliant conduct during interventions.
  • Provide recommendations and action plans for continuous operational improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of retail Asset Protection or loss-prevention experience, preferably in high-volume or complex environments.
  • Proven leadership experience directing investigators or security teams and delivering measurable operational outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to store leadership and large groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with demonstrated experience identifying shortage exposures.
  • Proficiency with retail security systems, reporting platforms and productivity software.
  • Working knowledge of investigative practices, audit methodologies and applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
  • College degree preferred.

Experience
