Role & Responsibilities
- Lead investigations into suspected internal and external theft, fraud and inventory discrepancies across assigned stores and channels.
- Collect, preserve and document evidence (CCTV, digital records, witness statements) in line with legal and brand standards.
- Conduct covert and overt surveillance operations, including onsite inspections and remote monitoring of stores and personnel.
- Interview witnesses and suspects using structured investigative techniques; prepare accurate, objective interview reports.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and legal counsel when escalation or prosecution is required.
- Prepare detailed case files and incident reports for follow-up, civil recovery or disciplinary action.
- Analyse loss trends and provide actionable recommendations to store management to reduce shrink and operational risk.
- Deliver training and briefings for retail teams on loss-prevention best practices, evidence handling and incident response.
- Support asset-protection projects such as shrinkage audits, vulnerability assessments and policy reviews.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' investigative experience in retail loss prevention, private security or law enforcement.
- Valid security licence or permit where legally required; ability to obtain local licences if necessary.
- Clean background check and acceptance of pre-employment screening (criminal record and reference checks).
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between stores and to regional offices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to respond to incidents at short notice.

Experience
At least 3 years of progressive experience conducting investigations in retail loss prevention, private security or a law-enforcement environment; experience coordinating with police and handling evidentiary standards for potential prosecution is required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management or a related discipline preferred.
