Asset Protection Investigator position in Oak Brook, Illinois. Conduct internal investigations into theft and fraud for a luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations into suspected theft, fraud, and unauthorized activities affecting company assets
- Interview witnesses, employees, and suspects to gather information and establish facts
- Document findings and prepare detailed investigation reports with evidence supporting conclusions
- Collaborate with loss prevention teams, store management, and external law enforcement agencies
- Monitor surveillance systems and analyze security footage to identify suspicious patterns or incidents
- Develop and implement recommendations to strengthen security measures and prevent future losses
- Maintain confidentiality and follow legal protocols in all investigative proceedings
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security investigations, loss prevention, or related investigative work
- Strong knowledge of retail or corporate security protocols and asset protection principles
- Excellent documentation and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain objective and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations
- Physical capability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

3–5 years of experience in security investigations, loss prevention, retail security, or a related field such as law enforcement or corporate security.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security, investigation, or loss prevention are preferred.
