Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations into internal and external theft, organized retail crime, fraud and inventory discrepancies across store locations.
- Review and analyse CCTV, POS exception reports and other electronic evidence to reconstruct incidents and identify suspects.
- Collect, document and preserve evidence in accordance with chain-of-custody procedures; prepare detailed investigative reports for internal stakeholders and law enforcement.
- Conduct interviews with staff, witnesses and suspects using structured interview techniques; obtain and document witness statements.
- Liaise with local police, legal counsel and external investigators; prepare cases for prosecution and provide testimony when required.
- Execute covert surveillance operations and undercover assignments where appropriate and authorized.
- Partner with store leadership to implement preventive measures, training and loss-reduction strategies; monitor trends and recommend policy adjustments.
- Maintain accurate case management records, follow-up actions and KPI reporting to regional asset protection leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to conduct investigations with strict regard for legal requirements, confidentiality and evidence handling.
- Clean background suitable for working with sensitive information; ability to pass enhanced vetting checks.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between store locations as required.
- Strong written communication skills with demonstrable report-writing ability suitable for legal proceedings.
- Professional certifications such as CPP, CFE or equivalent are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of investigative or loss-prevention experience, preferably within retail or luxury environments; prior law-enforcement, security or private investigation background strongly preferred. Demonstrable track record of managing investigations from incident identification through prosecution or internal resolution.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law, security management or a related field preferred.
