The Asset Protection Investigator works on-site at Exemplar Luxury Group’s distribution center as part of the Asset Protection team, reporting to the Asset Protection Manager and helping prevent external and internal theft and fraud. The role covers safety, surveillance, investigations, incident reporting, inventory-loss control, and support for store operations programs. Compensation varies by geographic location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the general safety of customers, employees, and the distribution center.
- Assess and assist with emergency situations.
- Monitor and conduct surveillance to identify indicators of internal or external theft and fraud.
- Conduct internal and external investigations, properly documenting all Asset Protection incidents.
- Prepare and complete reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, and audits.
- Reduce and control inventory loss through audits and training.
- Support and participate in store operations programs.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Verbal and writing skills.
- Basic proficiency with computer software.
- Investigative and conflict management skills.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Experience
At least 1 year in Loss Prevention or Asset Protection.
