Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistent with Saks Fifth Avenue's principles during fittings and alteration consultations
- Execute precise alterations and fittings across diverse garment types and luxury fabrics, including leather, knits, double-faced materials, and beaded garments
- Operate standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment, as well as specialty machines including double-blind, buttonhole, cover-stitch, and leather machines
- Make informed alteration decisions during customer fittings based on technical expertise and garment fabrication knowledge
- Maintain adherence to all alteration workroom policies, tailor procedures, and Saks Fifth Avenue company policies
- Sustain a clean and safe work environment meeting all departmental and health standards
- Support company, store, and department initiatives and collaborate on special projects
- Contribute to achieving and exceeding individual performance and productivity goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience in high-end or luxury merchandise
- Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments in various fabrics and weights
- Proficiency with all standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment
- Proficiency with specialty machines: double-blind, buttonhole, cover-stitch, and leather machines
- Deep knowledge of alterations industry practices, including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise
- Strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather work, knits, double-face materials, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonhole construction
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated fitting and tailoring experience specifically working with high-end or luxury merchandise. Proven ability to perform complex alterations on diverse garment types and materials in a professional tailoring environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Naples, Florida, USA, with easy access to Miami.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 25.64 to USD 32.05 per hour.
