Role & Responsibilities
- Execute precise alterations on luxury garments including hemming, tapering, seam adjustments, and custom modifications
- Assess garment condition and determine appropriate alteration techniques to meet client specifications
- Maintain detailed records of alterations work, timelines, and client preferences
- Ensure all completed alterations meet brand quality standards before return to clients
- Collaborate with retail associates and management to communicate alteration status and timelines to customers
Qualifications
- Proficiency in hand-sewing and machine-sewing techniques
- Knowledge of garment construction and fabric types
- Ability to read and interpret alteration requests and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and precision craftsmanship
- Experience working with luxury or premium garments preferred
Skills
Experience
Entry-level to mid-level experience in alterations, tailoring, or garment modification is preferred; training will be provided for candidates demonstrating strong technical aptitude and commitment to precision craftsmanship.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; formal training in tailoring, alterations, or apparel construction is advantageous but not required.
