Role & Responsibilities

• Direct financial planning, growth strategy, budgeting, and advanced modeling across retail and omnichannel business units.
• Manage capital allocation, corporate expense governance, liquidity, debt covenant compliance, budgets, cash financing, and overhead expenses to improve profitability and capital efficiency.
• Partner with private equity sponsors, lenders, and investment banks on transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and capital restructurings.
• Optimize internal processes, improve systems, develop high-performing teams, and conduct complex financial modeling and analysis.
• Lead development and execution of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and multiyear strategic plans.
• Build and optimize integrated three-statement models reflecting retail operations and capital structures.
• Direct consolidated capital expenditure deployment and analyze efficiency across stores, e-commerce, and logistics to maximize return on invested capital (ROIC); manage Investment Committee workflows and project approvals.
• Provide financial evaluation, due diligence, and modeling for mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and restructurings in partnership with private equity sponsors, banks, and corporate development.
• Lead end-to-end forecasting calendars and ensure cross-functional alignment and timely deliverables.
• Govern corporate overhead through expense management, cost containment, headcount modeling, and zero-based budgeting.
• Manage daily liquidity, credit facility strategies, and debt covenant compliance.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing corporate finance and FP&A team.
• Set annual operational goals and performance metrics for the team.
• Foster collaboration, continuous systems improvement, and reporting optimization.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Serve as management liaison to the board and audit committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative discipline.
• An MBA, CFA charter, or active CPA license is highly preferred.
• At least 10 to 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate finance, private equity turnaround, investment banking, or financial consulting.
• Leadership experience in retail, consumer goods, or omnichannel sectors, with deep familiarity with four-wall store economics, GMROI, inventory-turn optimization, and peak-season working capital cycles.
• Deep expertise in GAAP/IFRS principles and corporate tax legislation.
• Advanced command of financial planning software and enterprise ERPs, with a record of scaling internal financial processes.
• Strong risk management capabilities and the ability to communicate complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Mastery of structural modeling, including building and auditing complex integrated three-statement models from scratch.
• Experience institutionalizing liquidity forecasting, such as 13-week cash models, managing credit facility draws, and tracking debt covenant compliance.
• Proven success supporting private equity sponsors or investment banks with due diligence, data room management, and modeling for mergers and acquisitions and recapitalizations.
• Skill in establishing corporate governance thresholds, leading investment committee processes, and presenting strategic narratives to executive leadership and the board.

Education

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 250,000 to USD 337,000 per annum.
