Saks Fifth Avenue — New York: Merchandise Operations Associate (full-time onsite) handling inbound processing, merchandising and fulfillment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process inbound merchandise and prepare items for presentation and placement on the sales floor in accordance with visual and merchandising standards.
  • Maintain presentation standards and participate in floor recovery, supply replenishment and store merchandising projects as directed.
  • Locate, pick and complete customer orders and in-store fulfillment requests promptly and with excellent service.
  • Operate handheld inventory devices (RF guns) and store systems to receive, transfer and reconcile merchandise.
  • Handle physical tasks including lifting cartons, moving racks and using ladders; ensure safe handling and storage of merchandise.
  • Support ad-hoc store initiatives and collaborate with store teams to meet operational objectives and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and handle racks and carts of merchandise safely.
  • Practical knowledge of merchandising presentation and ability to maintain visual standards on the selling floor.
  • Proficiency with store technology and inventory devices; able to use RF guns, POS/PC systems and mobile devices.
  • Flexible availability to work a schedule that meets business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle in accordance with state Driver's License requirements (select doors only).

Experience

Previous experience in retail, stockroom, inventory or fulfillment operations is preferred; comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.61 to USD 24.51 per hour.
