Saks Fifth Avenue seeks a detail-oriented Specialized Operations Associate to support daily operations of the General Office and Jewelry Department at its Palm Beach Gardens location. The role encompasses cash handling and bank deposit reconciliation, jewelry inventory management and case count verification, and customer issue resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong computer proficiency, organizational excellence, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Open the store by managing safe, controller, and registers; distribute daily operational reports
- Process morning cash entries, bank deposits, and reconcile chargebacks and register cash
- Resolve internal and external customer issues, including bill payment research and package tracking
- Receive, verify, and book jewelry merchandise in accordance with company standards
- Process re-tickets, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments, and price changes for jewelry inventory
- Retrieve and process merchandise returns and transfers to vendors per company standards
- Complete case counts, enter merchandise into the case count system, and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain jewelry repair logs, track vendor and local shop repairs, and submit repair invoices
- Receive and verify merchandise for trunk shows; assist in setup, takedown, and results recap
- Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale as requested
- Communicate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and vendors
- Ensure Internal Audit readiness and maintain updated vault and safe contents records
- Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as needed
- Process fulfillment orders and complete ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise
- Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments with minimal supervision
- Capacity to multitask and prioritize multiple operational responsibilities simultaneously
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining organized work spaces
- Knowledge and application of store policies and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional telephone and face-to-face interaction abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
