Saks Fifth Avenue in Miami seeks a part‑time Specialized Operations Associate. $17.05–$21.32/hr; manage jewelry operations, cash handling and office workflows.
Role & Responsibilities
- Open and close store office functions: prepare safe, controller and register procedures and distribute reports.
- Perform daily cash operations, including morning cash entry, petty cash and register counts, bank deposits and reconciliation of chargebacks.
- Resolve internal and external customer issues related to payments, billing, and package tracking.
- Receive, verify and book all jewelry shipments in compliance with company standards and shipping guidelines.
- Process re‑tickets, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments and price changes for the Jewelry department.
- Prepare vendor returns/transfers and ensure all case counts are completed and discrepancies reconciled in the case count system.
- Maintain repair log and track repairs sent to vendors or local shops; submit repair invoices.
- Support trunk show logistics: receive merchandise, assist with set‑up/take‑down and recap results.
- Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale as required; liaise with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control and vendors.
- Maintain internal audit readiness, monitor vault/safe contents and adhere to Internal Audit standards.
- Support the selling floor and process fulfillment orders as needed; perform ad‑hoc operational tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders and handle racks/carts of merchandise.
- Strong computer proficiency with Google and MS Office applications; able to adapt to changing technology.
- Proven capacity to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability and adherence to dependability standards to meet business scheduling needs.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organisational habits for personal workspace and inventory records.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally by phone and in person.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and apply store policies and procedures in decision‑making.

Typically 1+ years of retail operations experience with demonstrated cash handling, inventory reconciliation and administrative support; prior exposure to jewelry or luxury merchandise operations preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or coursework in retail operations, merchandising or jewelry merchandising is preferred.
