Saks Fifth Avenue in Boston seeks a Specialized Operations Associate to manage jewelry and office operations. Hourly $19.61–$24.51.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage daily General Office operations including store opening procedures, safe and register reconciliation, morning cash entry, and bank deposits.
- Process financial transactions and reconciliations: chargeback resolution, petty cash counts, and register balancing.
- Administer Jewelry Department operations: receiving, verifying and accurately booking merchandise per company standards.
- Execute jewelry-specific workflows such as re-ticketing, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments, price changes, case counts and discrepancy reconciliation.
- Maintain repair logs, track vendor/local shop repairs, submit repair invoices, and manage special orders and Statements of Sale when requested.
- Support trunk shows: receive/verify merchandise, assist with set-up/take-down and recap results.
- Coordinate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control and vendors; ensure audit readiness and adherence to Internal Audit standards.
- Process fulfillment orders, assist floor managers and selling associates as required, and perform ad hoc operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate cash handling and reconciliation with strong attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs, climb ladders and handle racks/carts of merchandise.
- Proven capability to maintain confidentiality and apply store policies and procedures to operational decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional internal and external interactions.
- Flexible availability to meet business needs and adherence to dependability standards.

Experience
Approximately 1–3 years of retail operations experience, preferably within luxury goods or jewelry; demonstrated experience with cash reconciliation, inventory control and vendor coordination is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant retail/merchandising coursework preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.61 to USD 24.51 per hour.
