Role & Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting, onboarding and ongoing development of a high‑performing selling team; set clear objectives and build internal talent bench.
- Coach and mentor direct reports on selling behaviours, clienteling and product knowledge through visible on‑floor leadership and regular feedback.
- Manage scheduling, departmental priorities and execution against the promotional calendar to maximise sales and service capacity.
- Design and run client development programs and in‑store events in partnership with store leadership, marketing, merchants and vendors.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention using clienteling tools, social selling and targeted outreach; identify opportunities to increase wallet share.
- Use sales and client data to detect trends, inform assortment and selling strategies, and measure progress against departmental goals.
- Enforce audit, stockroom and operational controls while maintaining an environment of accountability and policy compliance.
- Resolve escalations and workplace conflicts promptly; promote a culture of recognition, collaboration and constructive challenge.
- Champion change initiatives and share best practices across the store to continuously improve performance and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience leading a selling and operations workforce with responsibility for direct reports and measurable business results.
- Demonstrated success in coaching, motivating and developing teams to achieve sales targets and client development objectives.
- Proficiency with clienteling tools, social media for social selling and Google Workspace; advanced proficiency preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and sound decision‑making ability.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays and to meet the physical demands of retail work.
- Preferred: prior luxury retail or department store experience and a four‑year degree.
