Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and coordinate food items for daily menus and special events to support smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
- Control daily and weekly inventories.
- Use production, build-to, and order sheets to maintain team awareness of inventory costs and profitability.
- Check with the supervisor about special preparation requirements before beginning regular kitchen tasks.
- Coordinate daily menu production using menu counts and production or build-to sheets to help control waste.
- Check inventory for all menus.
- Communicate production supply needs to the head cook and notify the supervisor of supplies that need to be ordered.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with health and sanitation standards to protect food integrity.
- Maintain equipment daily and report malfunctions to the designated Associate.
- Keep food orders moving by communicating promptly with Associates.
- Verify special orders with the designated Associate.
- Maintain menu-item production throughout the day, meet supply demands, and make serious efforts to avoid waste.
- Close and sanitize the work area promptly according to health codes, and gather items required for the next day's production.
- Check with a supervisor before leaving.
- Uphold health and sanitation standards set by Neiman Marcus, the local Health Department, and third-party sanitation auditors.
Qualifications

- At least 3 years of relevant experience.

- Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry 35 pounds.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
