The Personal Shopping Consultant develops an individual personal-shopping business for Saks Fifth Avenue’s Fifth Avenue Club, providing outstanding service, building client relationships, acquiring new accounts, and driving sales. The onsite role sources merchandise for appointments, supports basic alteration fittings, promotes the business through digital and social channels, and represents the brand in the community. Compensation varies by geographic location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain excellent client relationships while delivering outstanding service in the exclusive Fifth Avenue Club space.
- Develop an individual personal-shopping business, establish new Saks Fifth Avenue accounts, and drive Fifth Avenue Club sales volume.
- Use Club events to recruit new clients, increase sales, and develop existing client relationships.
- Share ideas with the Fifth Avenue Club team to develop individual business opportunities and maximize sales against goals.
- Use Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling tools to record and maintain client information and preferences.
- Source products for client appointments through Flagship stores, the digital “endless aisle,” and distribution centers.
- Engage with clients and conduct basic alteration fittings with guidance and training from the Alterations Director.
- Maintain a digital presence to attract new clients and promote the business through traditional channels and social media selling.
- Represent Saks Fifth Avenue as a community and brand ambassador.
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of retail experience in a customer-focused luxury sales environment.
- Experience with luxury fashion and lifestyle.
- Experience working with sales quotas and comfort meeting sales targets in a commission-based selling environment.
- An established network or client base across multiple social media platforms, with the ability to support the business digitally through content creation.
- Experience executing events.
