The People Business Partner Manager advises the Customer Support, Commercial Strategy, and Analytics organizations on talent management, performance, career development, employee relations, workforce planning, and change management. The role is based at the Brookfield Place offices in New York and may require up to four days a week onsite; the salary range is $95,790–$139,000 annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary People Team liaison for the supported functional groups, building strong relationships with leaders and teams.
- Build relationships with employees at all levels and support effective onboarding.
- Drive core HR processes, including performance management, compensation planning, talent reviews, and development planning, tailored to client-group needs.
- Collaborate with People Team Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, and Inclusion & Belonging, to deliver tailored solutions that support department goals and enhance the employee experience.
- Advise and coach department leaders on talent strategy, organizational development, and employee engagement.
- Support change management by helping teams navigate organizational transitions and align around new ways of working.
- Use workforce data and insights to inform decisions and identify trends, risks, and opportunities across supported functions.
- Guide employee relations and ensure compliance with policies and employment law in partnership with the Legal team.
- Anticipate evolving business and employee needs through critical analysis of the organization’s changing context.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner capacity or related field.
- Communicate verbal and written information concisely and effectively.
- Experience working with HRIS, such as Workday.
- Intermediate knowledge of or experience with Google Suite and MS Office Suite, particularly Google Sheets and Excel.
- Experience influencing and advising leaders on talent and employment matters.
- Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects.
- Adaptability to changing business needs and requirements.
- Experience running and facilitating HR programs and processes.
- Creative problem-solving skills and effectiveness in dealing with ambiguity.
- Unwavering commitment to service and quality.
- Comfort working up to 4 days a week in the Brookfield Place (NYC) offices.
- Previous experience in an e-commerce or retail environment is preferred.
- Experience with Workday is preferred.
