The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise processing, placement, maintenance and fulfillment at Saks Fifth Avenue. Responsibilities include preparing merchandise for the selling floor, maintaining presentation standards, locating items and completing customer orders, with additional store support during peak periods. The role offers a seasonal schedule and pays $19.61–$24.51 per hour, with actual starting pay based on location, experience and other job-related factors.

Role & Responsibilities

• Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
• Maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards, following direction.
• Support other store initiatives during peak periods, including replenishing selling-floor merchandise, recovering the floor and replenishing supplies.
• Locate requested merchandise in the store and complete customer orders.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer needs.
• Handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
• Take on other store initiatives assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Able to lift cartons, climb ladders, handle merchandise racks and carts, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to learn and retain merchandising standards for the selling floor in compliance with visual standards.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use RF guns, PC, iOS devices, Excel, Word and proprietary platforms.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring substantial multitasking and minimal supervision.
• Consistently meet deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs and meet Dependability standards.
• Able to drive a company vehicle as needed, in accordance with state driver’s license standards, at select stores.
• Adapt communication styles, establish positive interpersonal relationships, assess progress against key performance drivers and organizational opportunities and risks, drive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results, and generate and share original ideas to solve simple and complex problems.
