The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise processing, placement, maintenance, presentation, and fulfillment at Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton, Florida. Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily merchandise operations, including processing, placement, maintenance, and fulfillment, under the leadership of the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager.
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Follow direction to maintain merchandise placement and presentation standards.
- Assist with other store projects as needed, including replenishing merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate requested merchandise in the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to customer needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility in communication styles and establish positive interpersonal relationships.
- Evaluate progress against key performance drivers and assess organizational opportunities and risks.
- Drive positive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results.
- Generate and share original ideas to address simple and complex problems.
- Take on ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Able to lift cartons and up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts.
- Able to retain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PC, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Able to drive a company vehicle as needed, in accordance with state driver’s license standards; applies to select stores.
