Saks Fifth Avenue in Miami seeks a part-time Specialized Operations Associate to manage jewelry and general office operations (hourly $17.05–$21.32).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage General Office opening procedures: open safe, controller, registers and distribute daily reports.
  • Execute daily cash operations including morning cash entry, bank deposits, chargeback reconciliation and register/petty cash counts.
  • Resolve internal and external customer issues related to billing, payments and package tracking.
  • Adhere to Jewelry Standards and Shipping Guidelines when receiving, verifying and booking jewelry merchandise.
  • Process jewelry transactions: re-ticketing, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments and price changes.
  • Prepare vendor returns/transfers and reconcile case counts; enter received merchandise into the case count system and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain repair logs and track repair invoices; receive and support trunk show logistics, set-up/take-down and recap.
  • Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale as required.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control and vendors on operational matters.
  • Support Internal Audit readiness by monitoring vault/safe contents and maintaining audit-ready records.
  • Assist sales managers and floor associates as needed and process fulfillment orders.
  • Perform ad hoc operational duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in retail operations, jewelry handling, or inventory control preferred.
  • Proven cash-handling accuracy and familiarity with register reconciliation and deposit procedures.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Google tools and MS Office; comfortable adapting to changing technology and inventory systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders and move racks/carts of merchandise.
  • Flexible availability to meet business needs and dependable attendance.

Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or vocational training in retail, merchandising or business is a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.05 to USD 21.32 per hour.
