Saks Fifth Avenue in Boca Raton seeks a part-time Specialized Operations Associate to support jewelry and general office operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage general office opening procedures including safe, controller, registers and distribution of daily reports.
- Perform daily cash functions: morning cash entry, bank deposits, reconciling chargebacks, and counting register and petty cash.
- Resolve internal and external customer issues, including researching payments and tracking/processing customer packages.
- Execute jewelry-department operations according to company standards and shipping guidelines, including receipt, verification and booking of jewelry.
- Process re-tickets, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments and price changes; prepare merchandise returned/transferred to vendors.
- Complete case counts, enter merchandise into case count system after receipt and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain repair logs, track repairs sent to vendors/local shops and submit repair invoices.
- Support trunk shows: receive/verify merchandise, assist with set-up/take-down and recap results.
- Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale as requested; liaise with corporate merchants, accounts payable, inventory control and vendors.
- Maintain internal audit readiness and adherence to internal audit standards, including vault/safe monitoring.
- Assist managers and sales associates on the selling floor and process fulfilment orders; perform ad hoc store initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders and handle racks and carts of merchandise.
- Strong computer proficiency with Google tools and Microsoft Office; adaptable to evolving technology.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Flexible availability to meet business needs and adherence to dependability standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organised personal workspace and ability to apply store policies and procedures in decision-making.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Experience
Previous retail operations or jewelry-department experience is preferred; familiarity with cash-handling procedures, inventory control processes and audit readiness is desirable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.05 to USD 21.32 per hour.
