Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinate general facilities activities across the store’s physical plant, including routine maintenance and preventative tasks.
• Supervise renovations, remodels and in-store contractors; approve and maintain records for contract labour (HVAC, vertical transportation, glass, national gate services).
• Manage and track work orders, Kone repairs, purchase orders and vendor communications; secure authorizations and escalate to corporate Facilities when required.
• Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance: lighting and ballast replacement, touch-up painting, fixtures/hinges/locks, carpet and flooring repairs, POS/scanner/PC/printer maintenance.
• Conduct facilities audits and inspections using checklists; coordinate deliveries and ensure Certificates of Insurance are received and maintained.
• Support store activities such as floor moves, fixture/cash-wrap relocations and store opening duties (lights, HVAC, escalators, access).
• Respond to store emergency calls and situations and serve as a member of the Store Safety Committee.
• Supervise housekeeping staff to uphold store standards and monitor waste compactor operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of facilities operations or building maintenance experience in a commercial or retail environment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow up on assignments, prioritise multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills with accurate record-keeping and experience managing work orders and vendor documentation.
• Basic computer literacy sufficient to coordinate repairs, submit and track work orders and communicate with property management and vendors.
• Proven team-building and interpersonal skills; business acumen appropriate for a customer-facing retail setting.

Experience

At least 1 year of hands-on facilities or building maintenance experience, preferably within retail or commercial environments that require coordination with multiple vendors and property management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or trade certification in building systems, electrical, HVAC or related disciplines preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 23.58 to USD 29.47 per hour.
