Saks Fifth Avenue — Boston: Facilities Coordinator. Onsite role overseeing building maintenance, repairs and vendor coordination. $22.12–$25.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate general facilities activities for the entire physical plant, maintain checklists and track work orders.
- Supervise renovations and remodel projects; oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with store standards.
- Manage in‑store workers engaged through NG&G and approve/track contract labor for HVAC, vertical transportation, national gate and glass services.
- Maintain lighting and ballast inventories; perform bulb replacement and routine lighting maintenance.
- Supervise housekeeping staff to uphold store cleanliness and standards.
- Conduct facilities audits and inspections; develop and use inspection checklists to document observations and follow up actions.
- Perform store opening duties where applicable (lights, HVAC, escalators, door unlocking) and respond to store emergency calls and situations.
- Perform basic POS/scanner repairs and maintenance (printer, monitor replacement and adjustments).
- Carry out touch‑up painting and repairs to fixtures, carpeting, flooring, hinges and locks.
- Support floor moves, fixture and cash‑wrap movement and monitor trash hauling compactor operations.
- Maintain and track work orders, Kone repairs and purchase orders; secure authorizations and issue work orders to Saks, Inc. when beyond facilities scope.
- Coordinate telephone, PC/CRT and printer repairs; ensure Certificates of Insurance are received and maintained.
- Participate as a member of the store safety committee and perform ad hoc facilities responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of facilities operations or building maintenance experience.
- Proven ability to follow up on assignments, prioritize tasks and work independently to completion.
- Strong organizational skills with accurate record‑keeping habits.
- Basic computer literacy sufficient to manage work orders and purchase order documentation.
- Business acumen and demonstrated team‑building skills.

Experience
Minimum of one year of hands‑on facilities operations, building maintenance, or related experience; retail or commercial property experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certification in facilities, HVAC, electrical or a related trade is preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 22.12 to USD 25 per hour.
