Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalized customer service across approach, consultation, application and sale closure to create long-term client relationships.
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line, event, and department sales goals through proactive selling and follow-up.
- Conduct professional make-up and treatment consultations, including pre-booked facial consultation events and in-store demonstrations.
- Use Saks Fifth Avenue's clienteling tools to record client profiles, preferences and appointment history and to drive repeat business.
- Maintain merchandising and counter standards: ensure a clean, well-stocked and welcoming selling area.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and the Cosmetics Selling Manager to coordinate promotions, events and training.
- Participate in in-house training programs and self-directed development to expand product and selling knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year retail experience, preferably in a cosmetics or beauty-focused environment.
- Proven sales performance with a history of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Professional competency in make-up application and treatment consultation.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; diplomatic and client-focused.
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and effectively use online clienteling tools and proprietary Saks Fifth Avenue software.
- Sound business judgment, organizational ability and attention to detail.

Experience
At least one year of retail experience, ideally within a cosmetics or beauty environment, with demonstrated success in sales and client relationship development.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, beauty or makeup certification preferred.
