Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by modelling Saks Fifth Avenue principles: Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank.
- Drive individual and vendor-line sales to meet and exceed daily, monthly and event targets, using proactive clienteling and follow-up.
- Act as the department and brand expert for Guerlain — consult, demonstrate and apply products during in-store and pre-booked facial consultation events.
- Use Saks Fifth Avenue's online clienteling resource tool to record client preferences, schedule follow-ups and grow a personal client book.
- Maintain merchandising and counter standards: ensure a clean, organised and welcoming selling area that reflects brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and the Cosmetics Selling Manager to support brand events, in-house training and vendor initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a cosmetics or beauty-focused environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Professional make-up and treatment consultation and application skills.
- Comfortable using online clienteling tools and proprietary Saks software to manage client relationships.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision and exercise sound business judgment.
- Availability to work a retail schedule, including peak periods, evenings and weekends.
Skills
Experience
Minimum one year of retail experience, ideally within cosmetics or beauty, with demonstrable sales performance and experience running consultations or makeup applications.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty-related certification preferred.
