The Beauty Advisor at Saks Fifth Avenue delivers personalized customer service, builds client relationships and sales, supports facial consultation events, and maintains counter standards while achieving sales goals. The role is full-time and reports to the Cosmetics Selling Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build individual and vendor-line sales volumes.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships, develop new Saks Fifth Avenue accounts, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Participate in in-house training programs and pre-booked facial consultation events.
- Maintain a properly merchandised counter and proficiently close retail sales.
- Use Saks Fifth Avenue's clienteling system to develop and manage an individual client business.
- Model Saks Fifth Avenue Principles: Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank.
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor-line, event, and department daily and monthly sales goals.
- Represent the brand and department while maintaining excellent customer relationships and a consistently high level of service.
- Serve as a positive liaison between Saks Fifth Avenue and the designated Account Executive.
- Record and maintain client information and preferences using Saks Fifth Avenue's online clienteling resource tool.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial approach and product application through sale closure and follow-up.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming counter and selling area.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics environment.
- Demonstrated successful sales experience exceeding quota.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment involving substantial multitasking and minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and use Saks Fifth Avenue's proprietary online clienteling tools and software.
- Attention to detail, initiative, and a positive approach to the work environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently to drive business results.
- Sound business judgment and organizational ability.
- Ability to provide professional makeup and treatment consultations and applications.
