The Beauty Advisor at Saks Fifth Avenue drives individual and vendor-line sales, delivers personalized cosmetics service, builds client relationships, and maintains a well-merchandised counter. The role includes clienteling, facial consultation events, sales-goal ownership, and professional makeup and treatment consultations; it is full-time, with pay of $22.03–$27.54 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and build individual and vendor-line sales volumes.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships, develop new Saks Fifth Avenue accounts, and work effectively with team members.
• Adhere consistently to company standards and procedures.
• Participate in in-house training programs and pre-booked facial consultation events.
• Maintain a properly merchandised counter and proficiently close retail sales.
• Use Saks Fifth Avenue’s clienteling system to drive an individual business.
• Model Saks Fifth Avenue’s service principles: Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank.
• Achieve and exceed individual, vendor-line, event, and department daily and monthly sales goals.
• Represent the brand and department through excellent customer relationships and maintain a positive image as liaison between Saks Fifth Avenue and the designated Account Executive.
• Use Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling resource to record and maintain client information and preferences.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience from initial approach and product application through sale closing and customer follow-up.
• Keep the counter clean, tidy, and welcoming.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics environment.
• Demonstrated successful sales experience exceeding quota.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring substantial multitasking and minimal supervision.
• Able to learn and use Saks Fifth Avenue proprietary online clienteling tools and software.
• Attentive to detail, proactive, and able to contribute to a positive working environment.
• Able to collaborate with others and work independently to drive a successful business.
• Sound business judgment and organizational ability.
• Able to provide professional makeup and treatment consultations and applications.
