Saks Fifth Avenue in Palm Desert, CA seeks a full-time Beauty Advisor (Trish/Guerlain) to provide luxury cosmetics sales, makeup consultations and clienteling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Saks Fifth Avenue Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank) in all customer interactions.
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line (Trish/Guerlain) and department sales targets, including event-driven goals.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships as the brand expert and primary department representative.
- Deliver professional makeup and skincare consultations, applications, and pre-booked facial services to drive conversions.
- Utilize Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling resource tool to record client profiles, preferences and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with vendor Account Executives and support in-store brand events and product launches.
- Maintain impeccable counter standards and visual merchandising to ensure a welcoming selling environment.
- Close retail sales proficiently and execute post-sale follow-up to build repeat business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of retail experience, preferably within a cosmetics or beauty environment.
- Proven sales performance with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- Proficiency in professional make-up and treatment consultation and application.
- Comfortable using online clienteling tools and proprietary software to manage client data and appointments.
- Strong organisational skills, sound business judgement and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Able to work independently to grow a personal book of business while collaborating effectively with colleagues and vendor partners.

Experience
At least one year of customer-facing retail experience, ideally in cosmetics or prestige beauty, with demonstrated success in sales metrics and client development.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics or professional makeup certification preferred.
