The Beauty Advisor drives cosmetics and vendor-line sales, develops client relationships and accounts, delivers expert consultations, and maintains Saks Fifth Avenue’s counter standards and clienteling records. This is a full-time role with an hourly salary range of $22.03–$27.54; compensation varies by location and relevant factors.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and build individual and vendor-line sales volumes.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships, work effectively with team members, and develop new Saks Fifth Avenue accounts.
• Adhere consistently to company standards and procedures.
• Participate in in-house training programs and support pre-booked facial consultation events.
• Keep the cosmetics counter properly merchandised and complete retail sales effectively.
• Use Saks Fifth Avenue’s clienteling system to manage and grow an individual business.
• Model Saks Fifth Avenue’s Principles: Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank.
• Achieve and exceed individual, vendor-line, event, and department daily and monthly sales goals.
• Represent the brand and department as an expert, maintaining a consistently high level of customer service and excellent customer relationships.
• Maintain a positive liaison between Saks Fifth Avenue and the designated Account Executive.
• Record and maintain client information and preferences using Saks Fifth Avenue’s online clienteling resource tool.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience from initial approach through product application, sale completion, and follow-up.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming selling area and uphold counter standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics environment.
• Demonstrated successful sales experience and a record of exceeding quota.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn and use Saks Fifth Avenue’s proprietary online clienteling tools and software.
• Attention to detail, initiative, and a positive approach to the work environment.
• Ability to collaborate with others and work independently to build a successful business.
• Sound business judgment and organizational ability.
• Ability to provide professional makeup and treatment consultations and applications.
