Saks Fifth Avenue seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales within its luxury cosmetics department. Reporting to the Cosmetics Selling Manager, this role combines personalized consultations, makeup application expertise, and sophisticated clienteling techniques to build lasting customer relationships and exceed individual and vendor line sales targets. The position requires proficiency with proprietary digital clienteling systems, mastery of professional makeup consultation and application, and consistent adherence to Saks Fifth Avenue's service principles.

Role & Responsibilities

• Model and demonstrate all Saks Fifth Avenue service principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, and Thank) in every customer interaction
• Achieve and exceed individual sales goals, vendor line sales targets, event sales objectives, and departmental daily and monthly benchmarks
• Provide exceptional, consultative customer service from initial approach through application, sale completion, and post-purchase follow-up
• Utilize Saks Fifth Avenue's proprietary clienteling software to record, maintain, and leverage client information and preferences to drive personalized business growth
• Deliver professional makeup consultations and applications, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge as the department expert
• Maintain pristine counter standards, ensuring a clean, welcoming, and well-merchandised selling environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members and Account Executives to strengthen vendor relationships and departmental performance
• Participate in in-house training programs and pre-booked facial consultation events to expand expertise and drive incremental sales

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of retail experience in a customer-focused cosmetics environment
• Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas and targets
• Proficiency with online clienteling tools and proprietary software systems
• Professional consultation and makeup application capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and sound business judgment
• Capacity to balance independent business development with collaborative teamwork

Skills

Experience

Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics or luxury beauty environment with demonstrated success exceeding sales quotas.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; additional cosmetics or beauty certification a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.16 to USD 23.95 per hour.
