Saks Fifth Avenue — Boston seeks a full-time Beauty Advisor to deliver personalised cosmetics consultations and drive sales in-store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised customer service across approach, application and post-sale follow-up, embodying Saks Fifth Avenue selling principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend, Thank).
- Achieve and exceed individual, vendor line, event and department sales targets through proactive selling and client development.
- Operate as the brand and counter expert—educating clients on product benefits, providing professional make-up and treatment consultations and closing retail sales.
- Utilize Saks Fifth Avenue's clienteling system and proprietary online clienteling tools to record client information, preferences and purchase history to drive repeat business.
- Maintain merchandising and counter standards: ensure the selling area is tidy, well-stocked and presentation-ready.
- Collaborate with the Cosmetics Selling Manager, vendor Account Executives and store team to execute promotional events and appointment-based facial consultations.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail experience, preferably within a cosmetics or beauty-focused environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Demonstrated ability to perform professional make-up application and skincare/treatment consultations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong multitasking capability and minimal supervision.
- Proficiency and willingness to learn proprietary clienteling software and online clienteling tools.
- Strong organisational skills, sound business judgement and a customer-centric mindset.

Experience
Minimum of one year of retail experience, ideally in a customer-facing cosmetics or beauty environment, with demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty certification preferred.
