Role & Responsibilities

• Welcomes, serves, and engages guests attentively and professionally.
• Prepares premium beverages and cocktails using knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, technical pouring, glassware, and luxury service procedures.
• Uses knowledge of the food menu, preparation methods, and culinary terminology to answer guest questions and make tailored recommendations.
• Uses POS and ticket systems efficiently to deliver bar items accurately and promptly to bar guests and dining room staff.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains the bar and surrounding workstations, completing assigned pre-shift, post-shift, daily, and weekly side work.
• Sets tables and the bar according to service standards, including placement of glassware, china, flatware, and garnishes.
• Moves or lifts items such as tables, barstools, highchairs, and ice or liquor crates to maintain the room’s presentation.
• Maintains personal hygiene and luxury presentation standards, including a clean, pressed uniform and professionally styled hair and nails to prevent food contamination.
• Follows accounting procedures and accurately processes authorized guest payments through the POS system.
• Participates in daily pre-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and VIP guests.
• Arrives on time and accurately records each shift and applicable meal break.
• Follows restaurant procedures for schedule or shift-change requests.
• Coordinates holiday, vacation, and time-off requests proactively with management, prioritizing restaurant operating needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Proven experience in premium bartending, beverage preparation, and high-end table and bar service standards.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks with composure.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Foundational knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, wine varietals, and culinary terminology.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb stairs, and lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

Experience

Proven experience in premium bartending, beverage preparation, and high-end table and bar service standards.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred.
