Role & Responsibilities

  • Own inventory shortage performance and execute the store-level Asset Protection strategy to minimize shrink and operational loss.
  • Manage daily and monthly inventory integrity by reviewing reports, overseeing audits, and directing Asset Protection Investigators.
  • Lead internal and external theft investigations, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with store leadership, managers and associates to communicate shortage results, escalate risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Provide final oversight for audit execution and maintain readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate with sales support and operational teams to ensure shortage control processes are adhered to and continuously improved.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and action plans to address emerging loss exposures and operational vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid security license as required by the jurisdiction.
  • Wicklander-Zulawski Interview Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of retail asset protection or loss-prevention experience, preferably in a high-volume retail environment.
  • Proven leadership and relationship-building skills with experience coaching and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying shortage exposures and designing creative, measurable remediation strategies.
  • Comfortable with public presentations, rapid learning of new technologies and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
