Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the safety and security of customers, employees and store premises through visible and covert asset protection activities.
- Conduct monitoring and surveillance to detect indicators of internal and external theft, fraud and suspicious behavior.
- Lead and execute internal and external investigations, collecting evidence and documenting findings in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, theft and recovery documentation, accident investigations and audit records.
- Reduce inventory loss by supporting and performing audits, training store teams on loss prevention best practices and contributing to shrink-reduction initiatives.
- Assess and assist with emergency situations, coordinating response and escalation with store leadership and emergency services when required.
- Support store operations programs and collaborate closely with store management to protect people, product and profits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of loss prevention, asset protection or security investigation experience in a retail environment.
- Demonstrated investigative ability with experience documenting incidents and preparing formal reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Proven conflict management and de-escalation skills; able to respond calmly to unexpected situations.
- Basic computer proficiency sufficient to complete reports and use store systems; comfortable with routine audit tools.

Experience
At least one year of hands-on experience in loss prevention, asset protection or retail security, including conducting investigations, surveillance and preparing incident documentation.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in security, investigations or law enforcement preferred.
