Rubattel & Weyermann seeks a Varnisher and Zapon Coater to prepare and apply varnish, zapon, resin, and lacquer coatings to watch dials, perform quality checks and equipment maintenance, and follow cleanroom and chemical safety protocols. The role also supports testing and continuous improvement and requires significant varnishing experience, preferably in watchmaking or another high-precision sector.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare varnish and zapon mixtures in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Apply varnish, zapon, resin, or lacquer coatings to dials manually or using automated machinery, following established procedures.
  • Conduct tests to support the continuous improvement of quality and production efficiency.
  • Immediately report any anomalies or deviations to the department manager.
  • Carry out rigorous self-inspections to detect defects or imperfections and perform necessary touch-ups to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper operation and extend its service life.
  • Follow the cleanliness and hygiene protocols specific to the cleanroom.
  • Strictly follow safety instructions for handling chemical products.
  • Work closely with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
