Rubattel & Weyermann seeks an Automated Machine Setup Technician for its luminescent-material workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The role covers machine setup, quality validation, program adjustments, production coordination, tooling and first-level maintenance, with openness to 2x8 shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust automated machines.
- Inspect quality and validate production runs at startup in accordance with self-inspection instructions.
- Modify programs through the machine interface.
- Resolve problems and pursue improvements in collaboration with technical and quality staff.
- Provide technical production follow-up and supervision.
- Help allocate tasks across the machine fleet and coordinate production flow.
- Manage tooling.
- Carry out production when required, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Perform first-level maintenance.
Qualifications
- CFC qualification in production mechanics or equivalent.
- Knowledge of automation and equipment is an advantage.
- Confirmed experience as a machine setter on automatic assembly or dosing machines.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use inspection equipment.
- Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Fluent French, at native-speaker level or with excellent proficiency.
- Able to assert oneself and make decisions.
- Reliable and methodical.
- Flexible, a team player, and open to 2x8 shift schedules.
- Good prioritization and stress-management skills.
- Able to transfer professional knowledge to apprentices with care.
