Ruinart is seeking a Bar and Sommelier Intern for a full-time internship at its Reims headquarters, starting in early March 2027. The intern will support bar setup and service, cellar organization, wine presentation and client advice at Bar by Ruinart.
Role & Responsibilities
- Organize and set up the bar and service stations.
- Help organize wines in the main cellar.
- Unload deliveries of champagne, wine and soft drinks.
- Support service at Bar by Ruinart from aperitif through after-dinner drinks.
- Advise clients during meals.
- Prepare orders taken in the dining room.
- Present, open and taste wines ordered by clients.
- Know the beverage and wine lists.
- Serve wines according to service rules and quality standards, under the sommelier’s direction.
- Communicate the history, ambitions and values of Ruinart.
- Knowledge of several languages, such as English, German or Spanish, is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bac +2 (BTS) with a complementary qualification in bar service or sommellerie (MC Bar or Sommellerie).
- Fluent French and English; a third language is an advantage.
- Rigour, organization, proactivity, professional conscientiousness, autonomy, availability, teamwork and adaptability.
- Interest in luxury and gastronomy; experience in retail or luxury hospitality is preferred.
