Role & Responsibilities
- Support the assembly line across multiple production stages according to departmental needs and workload.
- Perform pre-assembly (premontaggio) operations to prepare components for final assembly.
- Execute hand assembly of uppers, lasts and linings with precision and consistency.
- Assemble counter and toe-box components (montaggio falsi e boette).
- Carry out skiving, edge preparation and ribattitura operations to prepare seams and edges for finishing.
- Marking and scraping (segnatura e raschiatura) to ensure correct fit and finishing tolerances.
- Apply soles and operate sole-pressing equipment; perform heel nailing (inchiodatura tacchi).
- Work collaboratively with production colleagues to meet quality, timing and yield targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in footwear manufacturing, preferably within luxury women's shoe production (elegant and/or sporty lines).
- Proven expertise in manual assembly techniques, with emphasis on pre-assembly and hand assembly operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to the finishing standards required by high-end maisons.
- Team-oriented mindset, adaptability to changing production requirements, and reliability in a manufacturing environment.
Skills
Experience
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in footwear factories producing luxury women's shoes, with demonstrable competence in manual assembly and finishing operations.
Education
Vocational qualification in shoemaking, leatherwork or equivalent practical experience; formal diploma not compulsory where extensive relevant experience is demonstrated.
