Rolex in Geneva seeks a Workshop Manager to lead its service workshop, overseeing watch repairs, quality control and technical teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring timely, high-quality repair and refurbishment of mechanical timepieces.
- Supervise, coach and develop a team of watchmakers and technical staff; manage staffing, shift planning and performance evaluations.
- Implement and enforce quality-control procedures, technical standards and calibration protocols across repair processes.
- Oversee parts inventory, procurement and traceability; collaborate with supply chain to secure critical components and manage obsolescence.
- Coordinate service workflow with customer service, warranty and logistics teams to meet turnaround-time targets and client expectations.
- Maintain workshop compliance with regulatory, safety and internal audit requirements; lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
- Manage workshop budget, cost control and reporting; propose investments in tooling, equipment and training to enhance capability.
Qualifications
- Diploma in watchmaking (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal VET or equivalent) or mechanical engineering background with horological specialization.
- Proven supervisory experience in a watch service centre or precision assembly environment; experience managing small technical teams.
- Deep technical knowledge of mechanical calibres, diagnostics and regulation procedures; familiarity with timegrapher and micromeasurement tools.
- Strong organisational aptitude with experience in inventory control, spare-parts management and service workflow optimisation.
- Fluent technical communication skills; ability to prepare operational reports and liaise with cross-functional stakeholders.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in watchmaking or precision mechanical servicing, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity within a service workshop or manufacturing environment.
Education
Watchmaking diploma (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal VET) or mechanical engineering qualification preferred.
