Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of qualified watchmakers across day‑to‑day atelier operations, production scheduling and workforce allocation.
- Ensure conformity with Rolex technical standards and quality control procedures across assembly, regulation and final testing.
- Oversee diagnostics, repair and adjustment workflows for mechanical movements, including use of timing machines and demagnetising equipment.
- Coach, mentor and develop technical skills within the team through structured training, on‑the‑job instruction and performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workshop processes, efficiency, traceability and parts handling while safeguarding product integrity.
- Collaborate with supply, quality and R&D functions to resolve technical escalations and implement updates to work standards and tooling.
- Manage workshop health & safety, inventory of tools and consumables, and maintain an impeccable atelier presentation consistent with brand expectations.
Qualifications
- Professional watchmaking qualification or diploma (watchmaking/horology) or equivalent technical certification.
- Proven supervisory experience in a high‑precision watchmaking or micro‑mechanics environment; prior experience managing a team of craftsmen.
- Deep technical knowledge of mechanical movements, escapements, timing adjustment and finishing techniques.
- Demonstrable ability to train and assess watchmakers; strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Fluent technical reading of service documentation, work instructions and inspection criteria.

Typically requires at least five years of professional watchmaking experience with a minimum of two years in a supervisory or lead role within a high‑end watch manufacture or specialised service centre.
Education
