Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble components that constitute mechanical watch movements with exacting attention to tolerances and finish.
- Execute assigned assembly and adjustment operations autonomously while adhering to prescribed quality, safety and productivity standards.
- Follow step-by-step work instructions, technical drawings and inspection criteria; document completion and quality checks.
- Use precision hand tools, microscopes and measuring instruments; maintain a clean, organised and calibrated workstation.
- Participate in classroom and workshop training modules, practical exercises and periodic assessments tied to the AFP curriculum.
- Collaborate with trainers and team members to progress through either the assembly or adjustment AFP pathway and apply feedback to improve technique.
Qualifications
- Genuine motivation for a vocational apprenticeship in watchmaking and sustained interest in precision mechanics.
- Good visual acuity and the ability to concentrate for extended periods.
- Patience, meticulousness and high manual dexterity.
- Logical, methodical approach to tasks and readiness to follow detailed procedures.

Experience
No prior professional experience required; prior hands-on experience in crafts, micro-assembly or mechanical hobbies is advantageous but not mandatory. The role is an introductory apprenticeship designed for candidates new to professional watchmaking.
