Rolex Watch Restorer position in Geneva. Authenticate and restore vintage timepieces using traditional techniques.
Role & Responsibilities
- Restore vintage Rolex timepieces in accordance with heritage conservation principles
- Conduct technical, aesthetic, and functional diagnostic assessments
- Authenticate watches and their components, ensuring provenance verification
- Preserve and restore original components using traditional watchmaking techniques and modern inspection equipment
- Apply quality control, traceability, and confidentiality standards
- Document initial condition, interventions, authentication results, and quality control findings
Qualifications
- Diploma in Microtechniques (ES level) with specialization in watch restoration and complications, or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience as a professional watch restorer
- Mastery of traditional mechanical watchmaking and restoration techniques
- Expertise in traditional watchmaking tools and modern control apparatus
- Ability to work on rare, fragile, and high-value timepieces
- Professional French and English language proficiency (B2 level minimum)
- Rigorous attention to detail and responsibility; discretion and strict confidentiality
- Deep respect for horological heritage and commitment to authenticity preservation
- Strong analytical skills, sound decision-making, and meticulous documentation practices
