Rolex (Geneva) seeks a Watch Finisher — skilled hand-finisher for movement and component polishing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute hand-finishing and surface treatments on movement parts and case components to Rolex standards, including anglage, polishing and perlage.
- Operate and maintain a range of manual and micro-mechanical polishing tools, loupes and measuring instruments to achieve specified surface tolerances and finishes.
- Inspect finished components under magnification for conformity, documenting non-conformances and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with Quality Control.
- Follow detailed technical drawings, work instructions and finishing recipes to ensure consistency across production batches.
- Support assembly teams by delivering ready-to-fit components and liaise with production planners to meet throughput targets.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and finish quality.
Qualifications
- Federal diploma (CFC) in watchmaking or equivalent vocational qualification in micro-mechanics/precision engineering.
- Demonstrable expertise in haute horlogerie finishing techniques (anglage, polishing, perlage, côtes de Genève).
- Excellent hand dexterity, visual acuity and fine motor control under magnification.
- Ability to read and apply technical drawings and finishing specifications.
- Commitment to rigorous quality standards, confidentiality and production discipline.
Skills
Experience
Several years of practical experience in component finishing or polishing within haute horlogerie or precision micro-mechanics; prior work in a manufacture environment preferred.
Education
CFC (Swiss Federal Vocational Certificate) in Watchmaking or equivalent vocational qualification; specialized finishing training advantageous.
