Role & Responsibilities
- Design jigs, fixtures and production/control tooling for dial manufacturing and series production, meeting expressed and implied stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare detailed tooling layouts, mock-ups and manufacturing drawings in accordance with company design standards.
- Ensure fabrication, delivery and qualification of tooling; manage handover for production readiness.
- Create, maintain and update technical data and master records related to tooling.
- Contribute to the tooling design reference library and continuous improvement of design standards.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal partners (production, quality, procurement) and external suppliers to guarantee on-time availability.
- Propose improvements to tooling concepts to optimise quality, cost and lead time.
Qualifications
- Swiss Federal VET diploma (CFC) in mechanical construction/toolmaking or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and assembly dimensioning.
- Proven capability with CAD software (Computer-Aided Design).
- Demonstrated organisational skills, autonomy and strong communication abilities.
- Analytical mindset, technical curiosity, rigour and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
- Team-player with a sociable, attentive manner.
Skills
Experience
A CFC-qualified candidate with hands-on experience in tooling or mechanical workshop environments is preferred; a first professional experience in tooling or manufacturing is considered an asset.
Education
Swiss Federal VET diploma (CFC) in mechanical construction/toolmaking or equivalent vocational qualification.
