Rolex seeks a Tooling Design Engineer in Geneva, Switzerland to develop manufacturing documentation and tooling systems for ceramic product production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and document manufacturing files, technical drawings, prototypes, and fabrication and inspection tooling
- Ensure technical consistency across product specifications, manufacturing processes, tooling systems, and control procedures
- Verify manufacturability, maintainability, and robustness of proposed technical solutions
- Create, organize, and maintain technical data within enterprise management systems
- Contribute to process standardization, methodology improvement, and technical knowledge retention
- Facilitate communication and coordination between internal and external partners
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing methods
- Proficiency in ISO geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- General mechanical engineering knowledge
- Competency with CAD software (CREO preferred)
- Teamwork orientation, receptiveness, sociability, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organizational competencies, communication ability, and autonomy
- Analytical and synthetic thinking, technical rigor, and technical curiosity
- Strong initiative and proactive problem-solving approach
Skills
Experience
Experience in mechanical design, tooling development, or manufacturing engineering within precision manufacturing or similar technical sectors is preferred, though entry-level candidates with strong technical foundation may be considered.
Education
Engineering degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing methods.
