Rolex in Geneva seeks a Technical Studies Manager — HVAC & Building Services to lead the technical studies office for industrial building projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary building-services (HVAC, energy, thermal) studies office from concept/design through execution deliverables and DOE.
  • Ensure regulatory and normative compliance as well as fulfillment of contractual obligations for complex, industrially-oriented projects.
  • Prepare technical trade-offs and variant recommendations for internal stakeholders and customers to guide informed decisions.
  • Validate and control the quality, consistency and completeness of technical documentation and project deliverables.
  • Consolidate cost estimates and contribute to budget definition and monitoring for studies and execution phases.
  • Define, deploy and maintain methods, standards and professional tools adapted to the studies office.
  • Plan project schedules, allocate resources and manage associated budgets to meet deadlines and performance targets.
  • Provide technical support, coaching and career development for team members; cultivate a collaborative, solutions-oriented team dynamic.
  • Implement reporting processes and track key performance indicators to inform stakeholders and senior management.
  • Represent the technical studies office with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in HVAC, energy, thermal engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years' proven experience in a bureau d'études or industrial company with progressive project-management and leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in industrial building-services projects, from design to execution/DOE.
  • Knowledge of MCR (monitoring/control/regulation) and electrical systems is a genuine asset.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making and arbitration capabilities with rigorous attention to technical detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, client-oriented mindset and team spirit.
  • Excellent mastery of French and strong synthesis skills.

Experience
