Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development and delivery of full-stack web and backend systems that support Rolex digital platforms and internal tooling.
  • Define and validate architecture and technical direction (microservices, APIs, data persistence, cloud strategy) to meet security, performance and availability requirements.
  • Write, review and maintain high-quality, testable code; establish coding standards, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor and coach engineers; perform technical performance reviews and encourage continuous learning and modern engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, UX, QA and business stakeholders to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and roadmaps.
  • Oversee operational readiness, monitoring, incident response and post‑incident reviews to ensure system reliability.
  • Manage third-party integrations, legacy system interoperability and secure data exchanges with internal enterprise systems.
  • Drive improvements in development productivity, deployment cadence and observability across the engineering organisation.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a full-stack engineer with at least several years in a technical lead or engineering lead role.
  • Deep practical knowledge of modern backend and frontend architectures, API design and distributed systems.
  • Strong experience with cloud-native deployments, containerisation and CI/CD practices.
  • Excellent communication skills; capable of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and presenting technical trade-offs clearly.
  • Fluency in English and professional working knowledge of French preferred for Geneva-based collaboration.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
