Rolex seeks a Systems Engineer in Geneva, Switzerland to design and operate infrastructure, virtualization and platform services.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and operate server, virtualization and platform infrastructure (on-premises and hybrid-cloud) to support corporate and production applications.
  • Manage and maintain Linux and Windows server estates, virtualisation layers (VMware/Hyper‑V) and storage (SAN/NAS), ensuring availability and performance SLAs.
  • Implement and maintain automation and orchestration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Administer identity and access services (Active Directory, LDAP), backup/recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam) and enterprise monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, network and application teams to implement hardening, patch management and incident response processes.
  • Build and maintain system documentation, runbooks and architecture diagrams; contribute to capacity planning and lifecycle management.
  • Drive platform improvements through scripting (Python, Bash), CI/CD practices and platform-as-code principles.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in business continuity, DR exercises and cross-functional IT projects globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
  • Solid knowledge of virtualization (VMware vSphere or Hyper‑V), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Proven scripting ability (Python and/or Bash) and familiarity with CI/CD tooling.
  • Experience with enterprise backup (e.g., Veeam), SAN/NAS storage technologies and monitoring platforms (Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios).
  • Professional-level French and English communication skills preferred.
  • Relevant certifications desirable (e.g., RHCE, VCP, Microsoft Certified, CCNA) and strong adherence to ITIL or comparable operational discipline.
