Role & Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement projects related to industrial washing operations, driving measurable gains in quality, productivity and cost-efficiency.
- Industrialize washing operations for new products, defining processes, specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Contribute technical expertise to capital investment projects for industrial washing equipment and oversee commissioning and ramp-up into production.
- Support production teams by troubleshooting process deviations and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
- Maintain technology watch in surface treatment and cleaning methods, evaluating new chemistries and equipment for potential adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or equivalent technical discipline.
- Proven experience in industrial washing or surface treatment processes; experience in watchmaking, jewellery or other precision industries is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of washing methods including aqueous (detergent) washing, solvent cleaning and plasma surface preparation.
- Demonstrated autonomy, strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
- Natural leadership and pedagogical skills to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to manage projects through to implementation.
Skills
Experience
Confirmed, hands-on experience in industrial washing or surface treatment within a manufacturing environment. Practical exposure to industrialization of processes and to supporting production on process deviations is expected; experience in horology or jewellery manufacturing is a clear asset.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry.
